Congratulations to Mr Tony Dolby who achieved his second Golden Arrow award in 3 years. An excellent score and he got to shake hands with the Sheriff of Nottingham. Lee C also came home with an award for the highest unrewarded archer of the day - well done! But......
....there's more, Tony and Lee then scooped the highest visiter awards at the Oregon Challenge the very next day - So, could this be our Dynamic Duo? Stay tuned for further adventures, same time, same channel, Zap, thunk, biff, boff!

A lesson on how to do well was given at the recent Welbeck Double FITA 70metres by Mike Emery in what can only be described as very, very extremely windy weather (indeed two trees were blown down whilst shooting was taking place!). He decided that it was a case of carry on shooting and don't go home, as all the competition was giving up! So a first place in the Gents recurve section was achieved!

3rd/4th March 2007 Derbyshire Indoor Champs - Well done to all Pastures archers that entered. Dave Home became County Champion gent compound - that will be something to tell the sheep at his and Toni's Welsh rural retreat. Thomas Taylor was first U14 compound junior boy and highest junior boy compound overall. Tom Emery was second junior boy longbow, Jack Emery came second in the U18 recurve boy category, Toni Home was second lady recurve, Sue Margett was second lady longbow (and Lady Paramount) and Mike Emery came third in the Gents Recurve, beating Tony Dolby into 4th place by just 1 point! Derbyshire County Championship 2006 - We will give you a report when the County let us in on the updated scoring (Of course we might not, though Tom Emery retained the Junior boy Longbow County Champ title for the second year running - If I ever get the results I'll fill you in on all of the other Pastures achievements).

Mike Emery picked up a third place in the senior double portsmouth (and then went on to shoot a third portsmouth just for fun - 15 dozen arrows in a very cold room at your age sir! - Suits you..)

210805 PasturesClub Championships - Excellent turnout, warm day, thanks to everyone who participated and to those who helped with the targets etc, plus all of the parents who support the juniors - for results click here
Results of the Bow International Summer 2005 Competition.
The club decided to make the three events handicap shoots, so that everyone could take part and have a chance. Its proved very popular.
30 archers turned up for the first shoot which was an American round and this was won by Kyle Churchill, one of our new members, who comes from New Zealand and only started archery in May!
The second shoot was a National. Unfortunately the weather was awful and of the 25 archers that took part, only 7 managed to finish the shoot. The winner was Tom Emery, a junior Longbow archer.
The third shoot was a Long Western, with members shooting Westerns and Junior Westerns to their age groups. The winner of this shoot was John Talbot, who is in his second year of shooting. Again 30 archers took part.
Our overall winner was John Talbot with 4433 points, 2nd and 3rd place were father and son Mike and Tom Emery, with Tom, aged 13, just beating his Dad into 2nd place with 4402 and 4388pts respectively.

Mike Emery and Steve Milner both smashed their personal bests to finish 5th and 6th respectively. (Mike was also successful on the raffle yet again - sorry Mick!). So an excellent day out at a very friendly (Pie and Beans supplied) club.

CONGRATULATIONS to our archers who had a successful day at Milford on Sunday 26th September 2004. The event was the 52nd Senior and Junior Championships and Open Tournament UK record status and Rose awards. Rounds were York, Hereford and Bristols. The placings for our archers were as follows:
