The onus is on the archer to notify the Club Record Officer of any claims they wish to submit.
All claims must reach the Club Record Officer within SIX months of the date shot accompanied by a completed DCAA Record Claim form.
Records may be achieved at any tournament or Club Target Day where the GNAS Rules of Shooting are observed.
At a Club Target Day, the round must have been scored and witnessed by another archer, Senior or Junior, shooting the round with the claimant.
The original score sheet, photocopy or electronic mail copy, shall be endorsed by a club officer ‘Shot on a club target day under the GNAS rules of shooting’, and signed by the officer, the witnessing archer, and the archer claiming the record. If the archer or witness are club officers, another officer of the club must endorse the claim.
When shot at a tournament, the claim must be accompanied by the official results sheet, or the score sheet endorsed by the tournament organiser as above.
Juniors must always state their age at the date of the shoot.
PLEASE NOTE: Club, County and National records must be claimed for seperately. For example, claiming a County record does not automatically feed through to the club records, and vice versa. For how to claim a county record please visit the DCAA web site.
