INDOOR WORCESTER
by Lee Chlechowicz

It was nice to see 12 Archers took part on the Worcester shoot during the indoor session. As this round hasn’t been shot very often many of those taking part were looking to shoot a PB. As this was my first Worcester I was happy in the knowledge that I was certain to shoot a PB. The round consisted of shooting 5 dozen arrows over 20 yards, shooting 5 arrows an end, not 5 arrows at a time as Pete seemed to want us to shoot, although this would speed things up a touch!

The top scoring recurve of the night was Mike, with Jack a close second (bragging rights in the Emery household to Mike) whilst I came in third. Mike shot a 271 out of a possible 300, he was so confident towards the end he even decided to put one of his arrows in the 3, just to give us all a chance apparently.

The overall order for the Recurves was Mike, Jack, Lee, Melvyn, Dal, Paul, Cat and Brenda.

The only longbows competing were Pete and Sue. Pete managed to beat Sue, better luck next time Sue!

For the compound Ken and Brad were in competition with each other with Brad in his first season only being 17 points behind Ken, well done!

Lets hope we all shoot as well as this during the next league shoot, especially Mike and Dal who were AWOL during the last indoor league shoot.

P.S. Have you all remembered to ask Santa for all that Archery equipment you so desperately need?
